ScheduleA prefecture-designated intangible folk cultural property performed October 3-4, 2026 at Muzan Shrine in Chita. The rite began as a memorial for the lion (boar) that plagued Asakura until being slain with a ladder, after which a bumper harvest came; pairs of lion dancers now perform breathtaking stunts and dedicate their dance atop a 9-meter scaffold tower.
